Baby Buys Advice

Its been almost 4 years since Rebecca and I registered for anything. And to be honest I'm not sure a whole lot of thought went into our wedding registry, save our china pattern. I do remember stealing away the Target scanner from Rebecca to scan items that I wanted - workbench, bungie chords, etc. Later on I heard that those were some of the more fun items that couples picked out.

I feel like registering for Blueberry is a much different situation. Registering for a baby isn't about emotions or feeling, it's about research, ease of use, and practicality. This is where all of you come in. I would love to hear about your experiences with baby products, whether you are the Mom, the friend, Nanny or Lala.

We've already gotten some great tips from Renee Hall (mother of triplets and wonderful blogger). And will pass those along with the rest once we have received a bunch.

So, I would love for you to use these categories:

Couldn't live without...
Used only once/Never used...
A great 'nice to have', but not an absolute need...
*If you loved specific brands or realized that store brands were sufficient, we would love to hear that too. As well as specific information about baby monitors and strollers.

Happy thoughts and thanks for helping us register for Blueberry.

Well, I don't have too much first-hand information, however, I really like www.mightygoods.com and I bet you'd like the sister site http://mightyjunior.com/. You might get ideas there.

Not sure where you're registering (since not all stores carry the same brands) but we registered at myregistry.com and were able to add different from various stores. (Funny story about how far baby registry technology has come -My sister is currently pregnant and this barcode scanning iphone app to actually zap items from various in-store vendors and place them onto one, central location (her myregistry gift list)And boy oh boy what to register for is definitely a challenge but think about your lifestyle and how certain baby products could make raising your baby much simpler! :)

Couldn't live without - Swaddler blankets - I recommend having at least 2 or 3!!!!
Used only once/Never used - Baby Keeper (we read that it was necessary while shopping in case you needed to use the restroom but hanging my baby up on stall deemed dangerous to me and I could never bring myself to use it.
A great 'nice to have', but not an absolute need - the Beaba Babycook - such a luxurious convenience!!!!
